What are the holsters used for 1911s that are tactical and made for quick draw as in the movie Resident Evil?

The holster seems to hold the gun at the trigger guard and the entire barrell and slide are left uncovered up until where the front of the barrell sits in the holster support. It is not a serpa from blackhawk. A good example is seen in the movie Resident Evil 1. The team uses these holsters for their springfield m1a1 mil specs.

  1. Here's a picture of what you're talking about (look at the Para Ordnance P-14)... http://www.imfdb.org/index.php/Resident_Evil:_Apocalypse I have no clue what they are. They look like they might be custom Hollywood holsters, but don't quote me on that.
  2. The closest I think I can come to that holster is an competition holster used in IPSC (International Pistol Shooters Conference). Here's a picture of one for an STI 1911 gun. http://www.ipscstore.eu/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=59&category_id=6&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=26
